Privacy
GrantWorks 360 Consulting, LLC runs Mineral & Steam at mineralandsteam.com. This page says what the site collects and why.
What we collect
- Buy button clicks: which product link, the page path and the time. We use these counts to see which pages and products people use.
- Site searches: the words searched (left out when they look personal, such as an email address, phone number, zip code or water measurement), the time and the number of results. Search records are kept for 13 months, then only monthly totals for 36 months.
- Water report reader: a daily count of whether reports could be read.
None of these include your IP address, your device or anything that identifies you. There are no accounts or mailing lists, and the site runs no advertising tags. The only cookies are Google Analytics', described below. We don't sell personal information. We don't track you across sites, so a browser's Do Not Track signal changes nothing here.
The water check
The water check runs in your browser. Your water's numbers, zip code, machine and comparison are kept only in that browser tab while you use the check, and each new visit starts fresh. A water report you upload is read on your device and never sent to us. None of it reaches us or goes in a page address.
Other services
- Cloudflare hosts the site and receives technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages. Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab)
- Google Analytics counts visits: which pages are viewed, how visitors found us, and general device and country or region details. It sets cookies to tell visits apart. Google's advertising features and Google signals are off, page addresses are sent without anything after the "?", and water readings, zip codes, search words and file names are never sent. - Google Fonts serves our typefaces, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab)
- Stores and affiliate networks may set cookies once you follow a buy button. Their own policies apply.
- Email: if you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply. Our email runs on Google Workspace.
Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
